WHY AM I A MUSLIM AND REASON THAT I CHOSE THAT RELIGION

This is my first assignment is this new semester..Comparative Religion..

1) Why am i a Muslim?
Firstly, Alhamdulillah because I am a Muslim. Basically, the reason that I am a Muslim is because my parents are Muslim and I am born and brought up as a Muslim. I mean if I had been born in a different country to parents who held different beliefs I could have been a person of a different faith. Was it just that? Am I a Muslim just by chance of birth? I asked myself what if I am wrong? A Hindu or a Christan believes in his/her own faith with equal zeal.
But now after I questioned it myself, why am I a Muslim, it is because I do believe in Allah. I am thankful to Allah for giving me this nikmah of Islam. A nikmah that is not given to everyone. I do not want to take this nikmah for granted, which I am afraid that I might have. I am afraid that there are times in the past 23 years that I have lived where I have taken it for granted. I have breathe in His air, walked on His ground, using the legs that He gives me. And yet, I have sinned.
Just because we are born as Muslims, we tend not to learn much about it. Just because we are born as Muslims, we do not appreciate it as much as the newly reverts. It’s a shame for me. I thank Allah that I’ve gone through so many periods of doubt. When I look back I see that it was not Allah leaving me but Allah telling me that it was time that I asked myself how much I loved Allah, and what I was willing to go through to understand my faith.
"I testify that there is none who deserves to be worshipped but Allah. I testify that Mohammed is the messenger of Allah". By taking this solemn oath sincerely and endeavouring to regulate one's life following the instructions conveyed by Allah through his messengers, one becomes a true Muslim. By declaring that there is none worthy of worship save Allah, and that Mohammed is the Prophet of Allah, the believer announces his or her faith in God's oneness, His sole right to be worshipped and that Muhammed is the last of the prophets. It also confirms his or her belief in all prophets and the scriptures they brought.

2) Reason that I chose Islam?
I am proud to be a Muslim and I believe not only me but every Muslim were proud of Islam. Islam guides every human being and Islam does not see whether what religion he or she belongs. Islam teaches discipline, how to respect each other and what purpose of us being on earth. Islam has every answer of any question in the world and no other book or person has that even internet or Wikipedia.
Every human has his rights to decide and God has given us such talent that everyone knows where human have reached and discovered. So the point is we have right to read things and understand and if we read the holy book “Quran”, we won’t regret it. In Quran, we can find every answer for the every question that we had.
Islam gives me a complete way of life, a chance to get closer to God. A chance to receive His blessings and a chance of live in the hereafter. It gives me peace and light to see the path I need to follow. It gives me faith and trust in my Creator, and most of all it gives me the guide to be happy here in this life. It lets me see the reason of creation, the logic behind it and the purpose of it.
I am proud to be a Muslim because I can communicate to my God every time to holy Quran. I know my Allah is always being with me when anybody doesn’t. I am proud having the noblest man on earth as my prophet. I am proud having the perfect religion Islam as my way and I am proud having brother and sister in Islam. I am proud Islam teaches forgiving instead of insult other. I am proud Islam teaches giving not taking. I am proud to be a Muslim. we all know Islam is the right way when we all die because I hope I can meet my Allah with smile and the one who insult Allah will know the truth in that time. This is why I chose Islam.
